A small first message beats a feature tour
- 01
Reason
“Your notes and practice work will stay together.”
- 02
Action
“Open the teacher invitation.”
- 03
Familiar task
Find the current piece and next lesson time.
Families need a reason to change and a small first action. They do not need a tour of every feature in the first message.
Explain the benefit in their language
Try: “From next week’s lesson, your notes and practice tasks will stay together in SYNKii. I will send an invitation so you can find the week’s work in one place.”
Then give the action: “Open the invitation and complete the account steps. For a child, the appropriate adult completes activation.”
Show one familiar task
Use music the learner already recognises. Open their current piece and point out the next step. A familiar task makes a new workspace less demanding.
Ask them to find the lesson time and the approved note. Leave optional tools for another day.
Keep the message accurate
Platform access is covered by the teacher’s subscription; lesson fees remain separate. Explain who should use the invitation and where to ask for help. Do not ask families to create multiple accounts as a workaround for an unclear invitation.
At the next lesson, ask what was easy to find. Use the answer to improve your next welcome message.
