This original pack demonstrates a small, coherent teaching library. Use the files together for a lesson on a steady pulse.

1. Score

Five-note study — MusicXML
Five-note study — printable notation

The four-bar melody uses C4–G4 in 4/4. Every note is a crotchet.

2. Audio reference

Four count-in clicks precede the melody at 72 beats per minute. This is synthetic reference audio.

3. Student worksheet

  1. Name the first note: C4.
  2. Find the highest note: G4.
  3. Identify where the melody first turns downward: after G4 at the start of bar 2.
  4. Tap the pulse across bars 1–2.
  5. Play those bars twice and describe whether the join stayed steady.

4. Teacher check

The learner should distinguish the rising first bar from the descending second bar. If the turn interrupts the beat, practise the last beat of bar 1 into the first two beats of bar 2.

Share with purpose

Use recognisable file names and share only the intended materials. Put the worksheet’s action in the assignment so the learner does not have to infer the task from a collection of files.
