Keep SYNKii open in another tab. Follow the steps for your task; optional actions are labelled so you know what can wait.
Follow the numbered steps and highlighted controls. Screenshots show the actual SYNKii interface; example dates and settings may differ from yours.
1
Find Invoices in the menu
Start on your teacher dashboard. Look down the navigation menu for the Business heading, then click Invoices. If the menu is folded away, open it first to see the names.
Open Billing settings → Pricing & timing. Check the rate, currency and timing against the family’s accepted agreement. You only need to edit settings if they are incorrect.
Open full-size screenshot ↗Platform screenshot: Pricing & timing controls in the actual Billing settings panel.
Check: You know which rate and billing arrangement apply.
3
Check payment instructions
Open Payment details and check how families should pay you. Also check the invoice details in your setup. Save each tab separately if you change anything; otherwise leave the settings as they are.
Open full-size screenshot ↗Platform screenshot: Payment instructions and Save payment details. Private bank information is excluded.
Check: The family will be given the payment details you intend.
4
Check what you are billing
Review the relevant lesson dates, durations and billing states. Look for an existing invoice or draft covering the same lessons before creating another.
Open full-size screenshot ↗Platform screenshot: Actual invoice review with fictional data. Check the lesson dates, durations and amounts before issuing.
Check: You have checked for missing information and duplicate billing.
Can’t find the same screen? Check that you are in the right account and have selected the right learner or lesson. On a small screen, open the navigation menu to see the page names. Read any access or availability message before continuing.
If the amount looks wrong
Check the learner’s effective agreement and lesson duration. A new studio default does not automatically change an existing agreement. Resolve cancellations, moved lessons and any credits before issuing.
Do not change the studio-wide rate just to correct one family’s invoice. Use the relevant agreement or invoice correction options.
Ready to bill?
When starting billing for a learner, first decide what to do with earlier lessons. Choose Don’t bill them in Synkii for lessons invoiced elsewhere, or choose to bill from an earlier date and confirm the agreed price. Marked complimentary lessons stay free.
Then open Invoices → Review billing history for the earlier lessons you chose to bill. Review Lessons without a price, then Unbilled history. Select the intended lessons and create a draft; historical lessons are not billed automatically. Check each lesson’s amount, not just the hourly rate, before issuing. Do not add a fee to a lesson previously shown as free unless you actually agreed that fee with the family.
Continue to Issue an invoice. Preparing a draft, issuing it and recording payment are separate actions. AI lesson notes are not required for invoicing.
Put information where it will still make sense when you return to it. A student's ongoing context and an observation from one lesson serve different purposes.
Use Dashboard → Studio admin to reach invoice work, or open Invoices directly.
