Vague advice is difficult for students to remember and use at home. When explaining a task, say which piece and bars you mean, what the student should do, and what they should notice.
Say the musical reference aloud
Instead of “Try that bit again”, name the piece and passage: “In this study, bars 3–4, start from beat 2.” A pointer or gesture can help in the room, but naming the location gives the transcript useful context too.
Make the next action concrete
Instead of “Make it better”, explain the action you have agreed with the student: “Practise bars 3–4 at the tempo we just tried. Listen for the change we marked in bar 4.” Use your own teaching approach and the level of detail the student needs.
Let SYNKii capture the explanation
Open the classroom for online and in-person lessons. Where transcription and AI lesson notes are enabled with the appropriate permissions, spoken details give SYNKii more context for drafting concrete action suggestions. Say any important tempo, number of attempts or resource name explicitly rather than expecting the system to infer it.
Review before sharing
Check bar numbers, musical terms and suggested actions against what you actually taught. Correct omissions or transcription errors, and remove suggestions you did not agree. Share a clear starting task that the student can recognise when practising at home.
