Written walkthrough

Open an original PDF score in the classroom. Locate one bar, use the pointer to direct attention and add an annotation with the available PDF tools. Ask the learner to identify the same passage before playing.

Recording script

Open the score. “We are both looking at the five-note study. First, find bar 2.”

Pointer on the entry. “This is where the melody changes direction. The pointer helps us discuss the same place.”

Add a small annotation. “I mark the join we are practising. One clear mark is easier to use than a page covered in corrections.”

Student response. “Tell me where you will start and what you will listen for.”

Play the passage. “Now the mark has a job: it reminds us to keep the pulse through the turn.”

Capture notes

Record a PDF for the annotation demonstration; do not imply the same PDF controls apply to every score format. Use an original or properly licensed score. Check the learner view before claiming a shared result.

End card: “Find the place. Mark the purpose. Play the music.”
